Have been taking
statin drugs on and off for 5 years or so, with the same result,,,,,serious
muscle pain! My luck I found a web site that mentioned the 2 patents that
combine statin drugs with Co Q 10. Well putting 2 + 2 together I added
CO Q 10 to my regime and lo and behold the pain went away. What the heck
is the matter with drug companies that hold back this information to people
who are suffering with the side effects of statin drugs?

| Our world is not so
perfect taking into consideration the polluted air which we breathe, water
in which we bath and wash, and food which we consume every day, but not
all of us have this deadly disease cancer. Cancer is a nutritional-deficiency disease, like scurvy or pellagra. It is not caused by a bacterium, virus or mysterious toxin, but by the absence of a substance that modern man has removed from his diet. Formerly believed to be a localised disease, characterised by a lesion, usually in the form of a growth, which appeared at some specific part of the body. This localised lesion was thought to be the result of activity produced by an invading virus, carcinogenic agent or some form of trauma such as a blow. Today, there is a growing conviction among researchers and physicians that cancer is a complex disease that is the end result of a disturbed metabolism (body chemistry). It is an insidious disease that involves the entire body; the nervous system, digestive tract, pancreas, lungs, excretory organs, endocrine system, and the entire defense mechanisms. The frequent reoccurrence of a malignancy after treatment with the conventional methods of surgery, radiation and/or chemotherapy results because the basic underlying metabolic cause of the cancer is rarely considered and consequently remains uncorrected. At Matthias Rath, Inc., they have investigated the natural mechanisms
that the body uses to defend against cancer, and they have found a natural
way to enhance their effectiveness. Their research shows that specific
nutrients are able to stop the spread of cancer cells through connective
tissue, the means by which metastasis occurs. See also Pesticides – an holistic view

| Hi I am wondering if you allow Splenda on the Optimal Diet for sweetening whipped cream and in coffee ?
|

Stan Popis 05/06/05 |

| In a simple sentence,
you would just as soon have a pesticide in your food as sucralose because
sucralose (Splenda) is a chlorocarbon. The chlorocarbons have long been
known for causing organ, genetic, and reproductive damage. It should be
no surprise, therefore, that the testing of sucralose reveals that it can
cause up to 40 percent shrinkage of the thymus: a gland that is the very
foundation of our immune system. Sucralose also causes swelling of the liver
and kidneys, and calcification of the kidney. Note: if you experience kidney
pain, cramping, or an irritated bladder after using sucralose in Splenda,
stop use immediately.
Sucralose is not found as a natural compound in nature, no sugar molecule is compounded with chlorine anywhere in nature. Sucralose is made from sugar, but is derived from sucrose (sugar) through a process that selectively substitutes three atoms of chlorine for three hydrogen-oxygen groups on the sucrose molecule. No artificial sweetener made in the laboratory is going to be neither natural to the body nor safer than unprocessed sugar, Sucralose can cause cancer. Any animal that eats chlorine (especially on a regular basis) is at risk of cancer. The Merk Manuel and OSHA 40 SARA 120 Hazardous Waste Handbook states that chlorine is a carcinogen and emergency procedures should be taken when exposed via swallowing, inhaling, or through the skin. It all depends upon how much you use and how often, your present and past health status, and the degree of other toxins you are putting inside your body.

| Can the diet be customized
toward my style of eating here in the USA? I mean, I hate to say it, but
I read through the menus and they sounded disgusting to me! I know it's
a cultural thing...those kinds of meats are just 'normal' eating in Poland.
I have been low-carbing anyway, so the idea of eating low glycemic veggies, no grains only a little low sugar fruits is not new to me. My protein requirement of 67g per day on this diet is the same as the original Protein Power diet was for me. I do like the idea of more fat. I never feel like I'm getting enough. However, my style of eating is vastly different from what I saw in the menus on this site. All that to say, can I eat the meats and veggies that are 'normal' for me and still expect good results? Thank you.

| First of all, you
can customize the menu as you wish but the most important is to keep the
ratio Protein, Fat and Carbohydrates (PFC) in proportion of 1 : 2.5-3.5
: 0.5 grams per kg of your ideal body weight. Proper body weight in kg is
equal of your height in centimeters minus 100 ± 10%. Your unsatisfied need for fat can be caused by the not right fat. The best fat you can find is in yolks of eggs, butter, cream, fatty cheese, pork, lamb etc. You can eat more fat if you need but not P and C. I am a little surprised that the menu by Dr. J. Kwasniewski sound disgusting for you, there are dishes which you can meet in Europe, Australia and even South Africa. Concluding, you can still expect good results using your own menu as you please. The menu on this site is for beginners (for first three months) who want to reduce weight, the fat portion is reduced to allow burnt own fat. |
