If he got the "Roto Rooter" procedure, where the blockage
is cleaned out surgically, often the valves that retain urine are
damaged, and incontinence is the result.
I'm no doctor, so I don't know if there is any help other than
"Depends", but some acquaintances of mine suffered this
problem after this procedure. I think it is fairly common.

Remedies prostate:
All of my male patients know how much I value lycopene for treating
BPH and for reducing the risk of prostate cancer. But now, a double-blind,
placebo-controlled study of 26 men newly diagnosed with localized
prostate cancer has shown that lycopene can actually treat prostate
cancer. In the study, the men were given either 30 mg. of lycopene
derived from tomatoes or a placebo. Although all of the men had
been scheduled for a radical prostatectomy, by the end of the study
a whopping 80 percent of those taking the lycopene supplement had
significantly smaller tumors and had lower plasma PSA levels. This
is terrific news for men suffering from prostate cancer! Even if
you aren't concerned about prostate cancer, I strongly believe that
all men should take 15 to 30 mg. of lycopene a day.
To maximize your protection, I also recommend eating plenty of cooked
tomato products, the best dietary source of lycopene.
Genistein: I've been telling you about the anti-cancer effects
of soy isoflavones for years. But this particular isoflavone offers
super protection against breast, colon and prostate cancer by promoting
cell death (apoptosis) and by regulating p21, a gene that works
in tandem with the p53 gene to suppress tumor growth. (By the way,
it was Burzynski who discovered these two cancer-fighting genes
- and he was spurned for his efforts!) If you are high risk or suffer
from any of these cancers, I recommend taking 60 to 120 mg. of genistein
a day.
Minerals: Some minerals play an extremely important role in cancer
protection. For example, low selenium levels are clearly associated
with increased rates of leukemia and cancers of the breast, lungs,
colon, rectum, prostate, ovary, skin and pancreas. Low levels of
zinc have been linked to a higher rate of prostate, esophageal and
colon cancers. Magnesium may contribute to tumor regression. And
calcium protects against
colon cancer by correcting irregular cells in the colon. Trace minerals
are also important in your fight against cancer, including molybdenum,
copper and iodine.
Cat's Claw tea: A potent anti-inflammatory and immunostimulant,
studies show that the bark of this rainforest vine also repairs
damaged DNA and prevents mutations. While I've used cat's claw with
great sucess for breast, prostate and lung cancer, there's some
evidence that it also works in leukemia and lymphatic cancers. It
also prevents the lot of white blood cells and immune damage caused
by chemotherapy. This is an outstanding botanical for the treatment
of cancer. And, while tossing the cigarettes is one of the healthiest
things you can do, if you do smoke you should
definitely be taking cat's claw. Drink two to three cups of tea
made from the bark each day. If you cant find a source for the raw
bark, you can take cats claw in capsule form. For cancer prevention,
take 500 to 1,500 mg. a day.
Green tea: Hundreds of studies have been conducted on green teas
effectiveness in preventing and treating a wide range of cancers,
including breast, gastrointestinal, lung, oral, pancreatic, prostate
and skin cancer. Drink four to eight cups a day.
Licorice root tea: Because licorice causes cancer cells to commit
suicide, particularly in breast and prostate tissue, it's been a
staple in my anti-cancer arsenal for years. Better yet. I've found
that it also inhibits the cancer-causing effects of environmental
toxins. My favorite brand of this marvelous tea is Yogi Egyptian
Licorice Tea. Not only is it effective, it's organic - and I recommend
drinking four cups of this tasty brew a day.
If you can't find it locally, you can order it online at www.a-healing.com.
Pau d'arco tea: I've been using pau d' arco for the past 14 years
to treat cancer. The bark from this incredible rainforest tree repairs
DNA. And I've read study after study showing that one of the herbs
main components, lapachol, not only possesses anti-tumor properties,
it promotes cell death (apoptosis) in prostate, breast, ovarian,
colon, laryngeal and some types of leukemia cancer cells. To be
truly effective, try to find a source for the raw bark and boil
it in water for 30 minutes. But I'll give you fair warning - it's
very bitter, so dilute it in water and drink two to three cups of
the tea per day. Although not as effective, you can also take pau
d' arco capsules 500 to 1,500 mg. a day for prevention.
Boswellia: My favorite anti-inflammatory herb also repairs DNA.
Better yet, it reduces C-reactive protein - one of the most potent
inflammatory proteins associated with heart disease and cancer.
No wonder it's so effective in the treatment and prevention of all
cancers! Take 500 mg. three times a day for prevention. For best
results, I recommend combining boswellia with cat's claw.

<SNIP>
Traditionally such herbs as saw palmetto, Pygeum species, nettles,
star grass and other herbs have been used to treat prostate problems.
The trouble with using these is that generally they only contain
a mere one part in three thousand! of the beta-sitosterol complex.
That means you would literally have to eat about a pound of saw
palmetto berries to get a mere 330mg of beta-sitosterol. Even with
the best '10x' (ten times) extracts of these herbs one would still
have to eat about two hundred 500mg capsules to get the 330mg of
beta-sitosterol!

I Know I keep shouting about this and one day you might actually
hear what I am saying.
The renal function and urine production and control of urine production
is gravity dependent.
Just put two six inch blocks under the head of the bed and tilt
it so the whole bed slopes down from head to toe and his problem
will melt away !
